The subject area of the book is the RF, microwave, millimeter and Terahertz wave detection of concealed targets. It will fill the need for up-to-date information on the application of RF, microwave, millimeter and Terahertz wave technology for security and defense applications. At present this information is widely spread out, and a single volume will aid workers in the area by collecting relevant information and comparing and contrasting the performance of sensors in the different technologies and different frequencies of operation. The application is of significant importance in view of the threat posed by suicide bombers and criminals in smuggling weapons, explosives and narcotics. The treatment will require undergraduate level physics and mathematics but the intention is to provide a readable guide for engineers offering the best design options for particular targets
