The Encyclopedia of Applied Physics - EAP - is a monumental work in scope, depth and usability. It is available both in print and online as digital EAP. The reader benefits from concise summaries of foundations, methods and applications to all key fields of modern physics. The article base is constantly being updated and enhanced. To improve access and usability for specialized communities, we are publishing topical sections as concise handbooks. The articles are being published in these printed handbooks as well as online in the digitial EAP. This work contains the EAP papers about moecular biophysics. More than two thirds of the articles are new or have been newly written to reflect the very latest state of the art in concise review papers.
